Wednesday 12 March
Drop in Acoustics Workshop starts from 1pm
Join us for an engaging acoustics workshop running every hour from 1pm to 5pm, led by James Hutchinson from Acoustic Comfort, an expert with years of experience in the field.
This workshop is designed to provide a key understanding of acoustics, exploring how it impacts us both physically and mentally, and what defines good acoustic design. You’ll be introduced to essential materials used in room acoustics, how they function, and the effects they have on a space.
Since joining Acoustic Comfort in 2019, James has been instrumental in expanding the company’s expertise and product range, helping to establish it as one of the most agile and consultative in the industry. He delivers RIBA-approved CPD presentations, as well as specialising in reverberation time testing, acoustic calculations, and project specifications.

Discover the key principles of acoustic design in this engaging workshop with Acoustic Comfort.
Learn how to enhance sound quality and reduce noise disruption through three core approaches:
- Absorb – Reduce unwanted reflected sound from hard surfaces like glass and concrete.
- Block – Use barriers to prevent sound from travelling between spaces.
- Cover – Mask unwanted noise with computer-generated sound for improved acoustic comfort.
With over 15 years of experience, Acoustic Comfort has been helping designers, architects, and planners create effective acoustic environments by making small yet impactful changes. Gain valuable insights into identifying acoustic challenges and implementing practical solutions for different working environments.

Neuro-inclusive Environments for Learning & Workspaces
Hosted by Jean Hewitt at Buro Happold, join us to learn about Neurodiversity & the Built Environment – PAS 6463:2022, AUDE’s new neurodiversity guidance and case study examples.
Jean Hewitt, a leading accessibility and inclusion specialist with 25 years’ experience. As Technical Lead at Buro Happold, Jean was appointed as the Technical Author for PAS 6463 and co-authored AUDE’s Neurodiversity Guide. An Honorary Associate Professor at UCL and the UK Government’s Disability Access Ambassador for the Built Environment, Jean brings expert insights on designing inclusive spaces.

Round Table Talks
Exclusive round table event with higher education clients and architects to discuss the changing learning landscapes.
Wagstaff have also organised a round table event to discuss their feedback on learning environments and how can we do things differently to support them at university. This is a closed-door event however we will be issuing a white paper with their findings.

Weaving a Sustainable Future by Camira
Led by Esmé Fenton, Channel BDM at Camira
Join Esmé for an inspiring workshop exploring the future of sustainable textiles. With over 10 years of experience and a Textiles Design degree from Central Saint Martins, Esmé will delve into Camira’s innovative natural and renewable wool-bast fibre blends, alongside SEAQUAL® ocean waste textiles, made from repurposed plastic bottles. She will also highlight Camira’s early sustainable collections, including the reimagined ReSKU, crafted from recycled wool and harvested flax. The session will conclude with a look at 2025’s colour trends and their impact on office and collaborative spaces. Gain valuable insights into eco-friendly fabrics and their role in shaping a more sustainable future.
