Project Overview
This complex project required the careful integration of existing and new furniture. The project covered six floors and had to be delivered to a critical programme within the challenging demands of a live airport operation.
We worked closely with workplace consultants Squaredot to advise on what furniture could be reused and how it could be reconfigured to achieve the layouts desired. This involved a series of detailed surveys and audits to ensure we could maximise the furniture to be reused and a plan of how it could be disassembled, stored and reconfigured across six floors with minimal disruption.
The programme became quite complicated as we had to tie in with the new furniture being delivered and other contractors completing their work.
Our ability to undertake such a complex challenge to save the client money and decrease the project’s environmental impact was met with appreciation and helped build good relations for future projects.
The installation had to be phased across the six floors, so the work was very piecemeal. Every small job needed to be completed on time so that staff could continue to work uninterrupted.
We faced many delivery and construction issues but we worked through them all to deliver the project to the programme and in doing so have won the faith and respect of the client.
